It’s a gift for students and teachers alike:

Proud, confident readers participate as happy, involved members of the class unit.

Motivated, confident teachers reach all their students — enabling them to teach at a well-paced, stimulating level.

We’ve tried it all, but this student seems stuck.

Good teachers set their sights high– with ideas, strategies and professional insights.

But sometimes you still encounter students who struggle with kriah.

  • The one who likes to cause distractions, and can’t seem to settle down to their work.

  • The one who seemed to get everything right…until it came to reading.

  • The one who doesn’t make a peep, ever — if the teacher doesn’t notice you, they won’t call on you to read.

Even the most experienced and skilled teachers get concerned when individual attention, charts, rewards… they’re just not working here.

The Confident Kriah Method unlocks the mystery behind learning kriah.

And once that code is unlocked, the benefits of fluent, accurate kriah will ripple out to all areas of the student’s learning and social experiences – in the classroom and with all the reading they’ll encounter in the years to come.

It gave my student the confidence to succeed not only in reading, but across other disciplines as well.

We tried one level of intervention, which wasn’t enough. We reached out to Mrs. Karp but we were concerned — would it actually work? Over time we saw clear evidence of change, and clear success, from her services. It gave my student the confidence to succeed not only in reading, but across other disciplines as well.

Rabbi Bension, Dean

The method is for every educator, teacher, and kriah professional who wants a system that’s…

Clear

  • Teachers enjoy CKM’s systemized roadmap to understanding the principles of kriah, and can explain them on the child’s level.

  • Teachers set clear goals to isolate, analyze, and hone in on specific learning skills.

  • Teachers gain a 3D, inside view of the child's kriah patterns — and adjust the CKM roadmap to address any specific hurdles.

Adaptable

  • Teachers tune into different learning styles and adapt the curriculum to the child — this is CKM’s first line approach, not just an accommodation

  • Every student connects with CKM, because it approaches kriah at its foundational points — it’s adaptable to any level or age.

Reliable

  • Many schools around the world have put their trust in CKM. It was crafted on 20+ years of experience and professional development.

  • CKM teaches to the whole child, tapping into their emotional world, and their unique skills and interests — a guaranteed route to cooperation and success, bez”H.

We are now seeing the benefits of applying her techniques for all students across all year levels

We’ve seen a lot of success from Chani’s methods. Our original intention for reaching out to her was for help with struggling students, however we are now seeing the benefits of applying her techniques for all students across all year levels. Chani’s approach helps every child.

Confident Kriah Method training — an investment that will propel your students and empower your teachers.

Train multiple educators in the foundations of CKM, conveniently in your school or on zoom.

A once-a-year opportunity to comprehensively master CKM – and pass that mastery on to every student.

1:1 Student evaluations for individual assessment and direction

CKM Student Evaluation • $875

Designed for case specific guidance

  • a child is in need of immediate intervention

  • a child is in an older grade where the teacher wouldn’t be expected to have kriah training

  • a child has a more complex learning profile

The process

1. Discovery call – a free, 20-minute conversation to see if an evaluation is a good fit for the student

2. Evaluation – a 1.5 hour session scheduled either in-person or via Zoom

3. Strategy call – a follow-up call to recap the evaluation findings and summarize a plan for your student’s kriah difficulties

The CKM Evaluation provides two critical categories of information:

1. Student's strengths and difficulties.

Chani evaluates why letters and nekudos are not turning into reading skills for this student by checking where they stand with the many layers of reading.

a. Letter and nekuda (vowel) mastery

b. Phonemic awareness

c. Reading readiness skills

d. Fundamental systems of reading

The evaluation

During the evaluation, your student won't actually do any reading.

Together, we work through a series of oral, aural, auditory and kinesthetic tasks that will take all of us inside to the roots of their particular kriah struggles.

2. Who is this student as a learner?

Utilizing her degree and daily field work in the world of special education, Chani uses the time to understand the learning style

and needs of each student:

a. Their preferred and necessary modes of learning

b. Processing skills

c. Organization of learning skills

d. Focus abilities

The evaluation will outline the building blocks of a personalized kriah curriculum and skill building plan for the student. Then, after the evaluation, Chani will meet with your student’s team of educators to review the findings.

Answers to questions you might be asking

  • Schools that have brought Chani down for help with their “mystery learners” have gone on to implement her methods across the classroom – because these tools help everyone. You’ll learn a sweeping approach to teaching kriah – from the building blocks of Alef-Bais, through Nekudos, through reading fluently. Plus, you’ll have the unique ability to understand struggling students, gain clarity on their struggles, and have a toolbox of techniques to address their individual weaknesses.

  • You can either use it as your standalone curriculum or to complement the ones you already use, since CKM teaches you how you can meet each student at their level even within the standard classroom setting.

CKM is designed to complement – not contradict – the various kriah methods and curriculums used in schools. Teachers find that CKM is a powerful enhancer to the curriculum. They gain a more foundational understanding of kriah and tangible techniques and are able to help struggling students to fill in the gaps.
